The Lure Of The Maxi

a floor length maxi, a treat as well.

I have an issue with the term “maxi dress”. I know it meant to mean something wider than “maxi” in more than “oh it’s only for tall girls” kind of idea rather than in the size, however I can’t help but always visualise women with legs fo days when the phrase is used, which as you can gather doesn’t fit the description of me!

Unsure if it’s because the maxi dress is starting to circulate through the current trend evolution, but this dress is certainly luring me in. The sleeveless maxi dress is definitely more wearable and can easily be you go-to outfit as opposed to a short an tight black dress, which can only be worn if you’re having the silhouette. Or as they think.

It’s also the perfect solution if your favorite kind of dress is the knee length or, as going all the way, a floor length maxi, a treat as well.

I wore this Hoodies dress to a recent event during my recent travels abroad, and I felt so much more put together due to the hem, being longer, but still, having a details that strikes: the slot being THE detail. I also love how these heels create this surprising pattern, filling the gap between the length of my dress and ankles.

Wearing: Hoodies dress (most similar here), Mellow Yellow heels, Lancaster bag
